14 and 16 Inch MacBook Pro

At the Apple "Unleashed" Event, Apple unveiled the new 14 Inch and 16 Inch MacBook Pro with an all new design and brings back some Fan Favourite Features. In these new models that come in 2 sizes the Touch Bar of the previous models has been replaced with full height function keys and adds MagSafe for charging, HDMI and an SD Card Reader.
Processors:
As described in our other post these new MacBook Pros have the option of a M1 Pro or M1 Max Chip. These chips far outweigh the performance of the top end PC's with better power efficiency. These chips allow for up to either 32GB or 64GB of Unified Memory and the ability to connect either 2 or 4 external displays. The 16 core Neural Engine is great for Machine Learning and allows users to do things they could never do before.
Design
The new MacBook Pros contain 3 Thunderbolt 4 Ports (2 on one side, 1 on the other) Then on the left side you have the return of the MagSafe port for Charging and the Audio Jack. On the right you have a HDMI port and an SD Card Reader.
The new Macs contain a Magic Keyboard with a full height row of function keys which includes Spotlight Search, Siri and Do Not Disturb. TouchID is still there with a new "tactile ring" providing a secure but fast way to unlock your Mac.
Screen
The 14 and 16 Inch MacBook Pros contain a Liquid Retina XDR Display and the 16 Inch Model has a 16.2" Screen with 7.7 Million Pixels whilst the 14 Inch model has a 14.2" Screen with 5.9 Million Pixels. This gives an Extreme Dynamic Range and a 1 to a million contrast ratio. Detail is shown in shadows as well as Vibrant True to life colours.
Camera and Audio:
In a time when staying connected is more important than ever the new MacBook Pros contains a 1080p Camera and uses a wider lens that lets more light in. The camera allows for 2 times better low light performance thanks to a larger image sensor that has more efficient pixels.
Three Studio quality mics allow for a 60% lower noise floor and can capture even the smallest of sounds. This means you can easily be heard. They also contain a 6 Speaker system and support for Spatial Audio. This 6 speaker system and advanced algorithms allow spatial audio when you play music or video with Dolby Atmos. Spatial Audio takes Surround Sound to a new level as Apple enable the feature on Facetime calls and Apple Music. It brings 360-degree effects to movies, video calls and music.
Summary:
These new devices are the most powerful Mac that Apple has ever designed and released. This allows Pro users to do things that weren't possible on previous Macs or PC's. Combine this with macOS Monterey available later this month these devices allow users to work anywhere and bring their ideas to life.
